Honestly save your money on the Loudmouth Catback. It sounds like ass on our cars. Just go with the regular SLP 2.5" catback system.

As for the PEMs? Dont bother either. Just save your money for headers or a PLog in the front and you stock rear Mani in the rear. And YES the 3" DP will work with your stock exhaust.

I like my loudmouth, but I have some pretty good mods to make it sound better. When that was one of my first mods though, I really didnt care for it. It was kind of high pitched, raspy. I like mine, but that is my opinion.

I would agree with your assessment there Dean. The reason I said what I said was cause one of the guys up in St. Louis had a GT with those things on it, and you could hear him coming from a mile away. And it wasn't one of those pleasant tones you would like hearing coming from any car.

I have not really heard one with the right supporting mods to make it actucally sound good though.

Combining headers with a loud exhaust is a bad recipe anyway. Headers will automatically make the exhaust louder, but will also add rasp.

BTW, some headers replace the downpipe. So think about whether you want headers or just a powerlog/downpipe before you start ordering stuff. It's better to plan ahead, otherwise you'll be spending more money in the long run buying two separate exhaust setups.

The 103 plugs are too cold for your mods. I highly doubt you will be able to properly run a 3.4 pulley again with your other mods.

And I agree with GeddyLee about the catback. The GT he mentioned was the worst. And let no one kid you, other than at idle, no matter the mods, NO V6 sounds good with loud exhaust. It may sound ok on the inside of the car, but on the outside...crap. Now if you are used to being around 4 cyl's then it isn't quite as bad but on a sliding scale we have good to bad

Al 605 (one step colder than stock) is most likely cool enough. I run 104's occasionally with my setup. iirc, I've only ran 103's once.

There are a few people that run water/alchy injection sucessfully. I know very little about it other than what I've read, so I won't comment much other than it seems like a lot of gauges to monitor things and adjust timing on the fly seemed to be needed, along with a tuner. I took a ride in Rob Archers Impala back in the day. He ran a 11.99 with alchy, headers, custom grind cam and a single 3" exhaust. He had gauges, switches and stuff to mess with, but he liked it that way.
