Who has installed one of these? If you have, post up pics if you can and your experience with it and what all you used with regards to hosing and fittings.

Go ahead and register, it's ok. It is Intenses website, so there is a lot of biasing toward their product line. It is a good resource though.

It's a good forum for info. It does belong to INTENSE and it may seem to bias their products but in my experience, it's because ZZP followers are on ClubGP and don't frequent 3800pro, therefore you don't hear about them as much.

    just my .02 about that

I bought my kit from INTENSE (of course), and all my fittings, stainless steel hose, and the aluminum filter bracket from Summit Racing.

I have my filter now mounted on the sub-frame just infront of the starter mounted horizontally.

You will need a 90* and a 45* pipe thread to AN connector
You will need a 90* and a 45* swivel fitting connector
^thats all for the adapter plate

You just need two straight pipe thread to AN fittings and two straight AN hose adapters for the oil filter bracket if you go the same route as me, but do what you want. I have used these same brackets since my very first car, and love them to death. Nothing worse I hate than changing the oil, and making a mess because of poor engineering from the maker of the car.

You attach the 90* pipe thread to AN fitting to the 45* swivel fitting and the 45* pipe thread connector to the 90* swivel fitting. You have to position it just right where the CV shaft will clear them when it turns.

When ever my front cover comes off, I leave the fittings screwed into the adapter plate, and undo the swivel fittings from there. I then can remove the filter, and the lines to get them out of my way if need be.

For my oil pressure gauge, I got a little extender to get the sender unit out away from the adapter plate so I could get in there and adjust the oil pressure with out having to remove anything to do so.

There is still not a lot of room, but enough to do what you need to get done, done.

Because of the long lines to the filter, and the size of filter I use, I do not require any more than 5 quarts of oil to be at the top of the hash marks on the dip stick.

Jason, thank you so much for that. That plate will compliment my dual remote filter system nicely but its way to big to put down there on the sub frame. I got it behind the front bumper now, but Id much rather have SS lines running and get everything away from the harmonic balancer on that end. I know there has not been any problems with it, but it just makes me nervous.

I take it then you have no problems with suspension travel interfering with the line such as axle or LCA or anything like that?

I got everything from Summit also. Mine is going behind the front bumper as well. Only difference is Im running my lines under the enging between the oil pan and transmission to the front of the car. I'm keeping it away from ther pulleys.

The lines are well away from the wheel, strut, brake etc. It rests on the sub-frame, and all that plumbing is semi-hidden behind that plastic cover that protects the belts from debris the tire kicks up. When you look form the top, it doesn't even poke out of the unibody. .

The only thing the fittings are close to is the CV shaft, but I threaded in the fittings to the adapter plate so when the AN swivel fittings are screwed on, there is plenty of room between everything. Its no where near the balancer, I can still change belts with no problems with the line where I routed it.

Careful routing, and careful though insured all this, and left it accessible for future work preformed etc. Glad I did, makes it all the more while very enjoyable to have and own. No more messy oil filter changes for me.

Farns, I take I need 2ea of those connectors?

2ea 90* pipe to AN connector
2ea 45* pipe to AN Connector

    2ea 90* swivel fitting connector
    2ea 45* swivel fitting connector

Or am I misunderstanding something? Also, what size hose did you use?
