I noticed that everyone on here runs .055 gap on their plugs, and stock is .060... Whats the advantage of runiing .055?

the only reason to make the gap smaller is when youre running more boost to avoid blowing out the spark. you always want to run the biggest gap possible.

Most also run 1 or more stages cooler on their plugs from stock plugs.

Nitrous users, your looking at a .035" gap.

we dont know and every car is different. gap it bigger until you get misfires, then back it off. i was always just lazy and gapped it small so i only had to do it once (.045").

My car is stock, so will me leaving my gap at .055 hurt the engine? It seems to run fine... I just don't want to cause any long term damage. Thanks for the replies by the way.
