I know this is a noob question, but i had someone install a boost gauge and aeroforce today and at idle the boost gauge stays at around 4 psi and never goes into the vac part. he told me its normal because the supercharrger is always making boost, i say he's full of ****. someone give me the right answer please!!

It should be at vacuum, especially at idle.

thats what im saying, i knew he was wrong. could it be where he tapped it into thats causing bs reading. he connected it to a hose on top of the supercharger just past the throttlebody. i found it to be a weird spot because i thought most people connected it near the s/c snout.

yeah, thats the wrong spot. youre supposed to connect it to the vacuum line that runs around the base of the blower. it hits the BBV, FPR, LIM, and MAP sensor. buy a rubber T and tee off the MAP sensor behind the blower and run it into the car from there. it keeps it cleaner coming from the back already.
