    Maybe this will help.

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/f18/p...help-1338.html

Looks like it could be as simple as trying a spare key.

Actually there is a chip in your key, you just can't see it like with the Buicks.

It's less likely that that's the issue but it's still worth a try.

Apparently you can buy a PK3 key on ebay for like 10 bucks, have any place cut it and program it yourself.

Someone posted about it not-so-long ago. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Beats paying $70 for a new key. And on top of that, a lot of the time you have to pay them to program it too.

EDIT: I was just reading this thread

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/f81/e...ing-28294.html

Could be the fuel pump resistor or fuse. Check the fuse first. Mine blew right after I got my car. I didn't make the connection though, because my car wouldnt start at all after it blew.

But this actually makes more sense because it happened while you were driving the car. My fuse blew like 500 feet out of my driveway. Of course I didn't know that was the problem at the time, so I had it towed to the shop where I bought it. 50 cent fix... DOH!

after spending most of morning ****in with it... it is now back to normal running condition... doing a security relearn as we speak for PK3 to get the light to go off.... exception of blinking security light it cranks right up and runs good. from what i have read on other forums... changing the gauge cluster can cause this... and i swapped out limited edition cluster awhile back... im hoping this was the culprit.

well security relearn doesnt seem to be working... car still runs fine, took it out for a long spiried drive and no problems... security light still flashing after car is cranked and lasts for about 10 minutes and shuts off.

Have you tried unplugging the MAF sensor? The car may die once or twice with it unplugged, but the PCM should learn to run without it by the second or third try. If it doesn't stay running, at least you'll know that the MAF is (probably) ok, or at least not the only problem.
