anyone bought one and wish they got the full size ic instead? i was looking at the full size one, but still debating if i want to dump over $1k on getting it. the short stack ic is half of that price which i can afford it easily. beside the amount of * of heat it can remove and smaller pulley i can drop for the full size ic what are other advantages? i kinda wish i bought wbody store ic few years ago when they sell it cause the price was little cheaper than zzp.

You could always try to see how it works with a volkswagon FMHE on ebay, it's the same as ZZP's stage 4, people have made it work with the A/C still functioning. Depends on what you want to do with your car, drop down to a 2.8", yes stg 2, but A SSIC will work if you want to keep it at a 3.2" pulley with a few other mods, maybe race gas and a 3.0" at the track. The difference in temperature drops is noticable, but you can try and push the limits of the SSIC.

the short stack will help you out if you ever get an aftermarket hood. some of them won't clear with the full size. if youre only looking to run low 13s, max of high 12s, an ssic would be better because itd be overkill and a waste of money to go fullsize.

    its all about your preferences.

i don't really trust ebay stuff i'll stay clear from that. i talked to mike k he said he said check back next month. i'm running 3.1 mps right now. we'll see when wbody store have their ic out and i'll either get from mike k or zzp. i probably end up getting full size.

If your already running a 3.1", yah you might as well get the full size. Do you have a built tranny? I just bought a used Stg 2 setup today with a stg 3 FMHE and other goodies.

It seems nearly everyone that went SSIC either went full sized later or wished they had. I had a Stge 3 for a while and it really did keep the blower much cooler. I was able to lay my hand on the blower after driving 4 hours home from Indiana. I thought that was quite impressive.

Yes. I ran a SSIC for just under 2 years, and now currently just installed a fullsize. All depends on how far you want to go and what your goals are with the car. I always said a ssic and a 3.2 was the farthest i would go. Now i have a fullsize with a 3.0 on.

well, when i first bought my 04 monte carlo ss supercharged 300whp was my goal and that's it. after the xp was installed my whole plan changed. i went from xp to ported heads, rebuilt tranny and etc, etc. most of the parts on my monte either rebuilt or after market stuff. i think i'm little over 300whp right now. i'll find out saturday when i dyno it. basicly i'm not trying to make this a track car i'm trying to make this a fast fun street car, faster than stock that is. there's a lot of monte carlo here in chicago, but most guys have big wheels or not mod. i want my monte to be little different than the rest. i want my to be all show and go. i think i reach the point of modding now, after i get the ic that is. i still do want to hit the track once. i'm going to have to get the full size cause i know myself that if i get the ssic i will regret it later.
