Ok first, my car is a 2000 GTP w. 158k mi on it. No mods (except for a k&n filer, which isnt a mod anyway). I was having an intermittent misfire problem when under high load and low rpms(driving up a steep hill or bridge) which would go away after a downshift and rpms were high. Felt like a buck and studder. What fixed that was a good tune-up. Installed autolite 606's, msd 8.5mm wires, and summit racing coil packs. It ran awesome! For about 3k miles that is... Then another worse misfire problem showed up. This time under less-than-moderate throttle, I would get a steady misfire, just like when the TCS system activates. Trust me, I could have been smoked by a rusty Honda. What I did today was check all the plugs, they all looked new still. double checked the wires, and I noticed a small crack on the top (#6 & #3) coil pack. I cleaned up the old ones, which I hadn't thrown out yet, and put them back in. Voila! It ran awesome. All the power was back. I still plan on replacing the coil packs this time with OEM replacements. I hope this will help some of you out there as I got the info I needed from searching this site.
