I need to replace the coolant temperature sensor on my 2000 GTP and was wondering if there is a way to get it off without removing the exhaust pipe next to it. It's sandwiched in there pretty good. I can get the 19mm deep socket on there, but I have no room to actually work it with the ratchet.

    Thanks,
    Steve

The wrench is either knocking into the pipe, or the engine block. I don't have any ratcheting wrenches, so I may need to get one to take care of it, if that's the only other way.

    Thanks

Never had to change one. Try a 12pt box end wrench.

Were you able to get it off with the ratchet wrench? I'm trying to change the mother****** right now and quite frankly, I'm about to stick a piece of dynamite in the gas tank

I have ratcheting wrenches. It's quicker. Still a pain.

Now..if we were not talking W body and that stupid dogbone wasn't in the way. You'd have enough room to do it in minutes.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If you're looking for just the plug then RockAuto has it for $17... More Information for ACDELCO PT1623

If you need that plus some wire then a junkyard would be my first stop.
