Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
Scanned the car today, and it only ran 3-4* KR. I don't think that is too bad for no other mods, this is even on the stock spark plugs. But I did convince him to do a U-bend delete and a 3" DP. I realize that 4* is worse than 0*, but it is not as high as I was expecting.

Car will knock more when it is cold. :th_thumbsup-wink:
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
Yes, we did some WOT runs. Headers will not be happening. This is his DD that is supposed to be for gas mileage. He just wanted the pulley so he could put the smack down on a modded SI. He wont stop running his mouth, so he wanted to shut him up. He rarely ever brings it into boost anyways.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
It was pretty warm out today. ~45 *F
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
headers = more gas mileage
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
there are guys with cam, headers ect. getting 30mpg on the highway. The tune is key.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
I'll let him know! HAHA, he'll never do it. He put the headers in my GTP and nothing fit right. Plus he doesn't have alot of money just sitting around to spend. Oh, and another thing is he wants it to be more of a sleeper, so not that loud.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
Will the spark plugs lower KR then? Since he hasn't done them yet, he wants to know what to expect.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
Mine was barely louder than stock with headers.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
the resontator and the mufflers determine the sound level.
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
And another thing I was wondering about was the spark plug gap. .050 right?
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
higher, i think .055? stock is 0.060

Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
Just clarifying. Not saying you guys are wrong, but I read somewhere else on this forum that if you are running between 6 and 12 lbs of boost to run a .050 gap. he is peaking at ~11.5lbs
Re: Which plug for a 3.5?
11.5 im only 2 pounds higher? his must be bad boost cuz of restrictions?

I ran 13 psi on a .055 gap with no blow out.
