    hey guys,
driving home today i came off the highway and took a turn then got into it a little, then my car dinged and said that i had low oil pressure, i thought weird then it went away, i punched it to see if it would do it again and it didn't, after that the car sat for most of the day.
just a little while ago i left to go someplace, as i was getting onto a road that has a 55mph speed limit i gave it some gas and the low oil pressure thing popped back on so as i was looking for a place to pull over it went away, now it seems every time i give it some gas the car digs at me and it says that i have low oil pressure, turned around and brought it back to my house and checked the oil and the oil level is right were it should be, the oil has about 3k miles on it and other then looking a little dirty it doesn't have anything in it nor does it look like it has coolant in it

anyway the oil i have been using in it is Valvoline full synthetic 5w30
any ideas, i dont really feel like putting a new engine in this car!

First thing first, I would stop getting on it until this is fixed. You can do some serious damage with low oil pressure.

yes sir, the car is now parked, the first time it did it i thought it had something to do with going around that corner, when i drove the car tonight i realized something was up so i pretty much babied it and turned around and took it back to my house since i was only about a mile or two away

The level is right below the max line, and it was a somewhat hard right if it changes anything

Probably the sending unit. The oil pump never goes on these motors.

ok its been doing it again, now its more or less just doing it at random times, its done it once when the cruise was on and was on a flat highway, it has done it when its warm, its does it when its cold, but it has no loss of power, no funny noises, oil has no bearing matter/glitter, it shows no signs of an issue, i have convinced myself that it is not anything inside the engine, i have yet to do an oil pressure check as i am wait for a buddy to get me his, i am strongly thinking about disconnecting the sensor because i am confident that it doesnt have oil pressure issues!!

Check your oil pressure. I was waiting for my buddy to bring his mechanical gauge home when I saw 0 on a gauge, no noise. Drove another mile or two, went to pull into a parking spot when it stalled. Then that "faulty gauge" knocked pretty loudly. Odd the sound seemed to come from the motor and not the gauge though.

Lesson... get a gauge on it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Hopefully you can get it, then you can make half your money back selling the blower and stuff off your blown up motor.
