i have a 97 gtp and it drives fine until i hit the gas hard and then it starts missing as the rpms get up higher. i changed the plug wires a fuel filter so can someone tell me what else could be the problem?

Check your mass air flow sensor and see if it is bad. Also check you cat it maybe pluged run the car at night about 20 miles on the freeway and then park it some where see if the cat is glowing red.

Did you change the plug wires or plugs? I had the same issue and my plugs were shot.

rev ur car up listen to your exhaust does it sound normal???the cat wont be glowing red unless its got raw fuel dumping into it ,take ur o2 sensor out behind your rear valve cover in the exhaust manifold and go take it for a ride and jump on it and if your miss is gone youll need a cat thats how i always check um works all the tyme,
p.s cats only get glowing red if they got raw fuel dumping into it think about it ppl if its clogged how would it glow it cant nless its partially clogged
