so i very recently have gotten a dhp powrtuner. i decided to set this up and scan for kr and didnt get the slightest sign of kr stock, so decided to basicly setup a 1.5 dhp generic tune, after adding what i assume is safe i take the car out to see if i can detect any kr so i know what to look for and avoid, after a test beat i only received one short burst of 4*kr but everything else was 0* and i have not been able to recreate kr since.

while i was scanning and playing i also noticed im only building about 3psi max boost but im a stock m90. The car still pulls hard and strong and has actually gained alot of usable power and pep from my generic tune.

so do i have a freak, a super nice flowing motor nearly impervious to kr, or am i missing something in this whole thing. i mean the only mods i have are ubend delete and 104's seems like i might be ready for my 3.5 tho.

you should be making more boost, 3 psi max sounds like your BBV is unhooked or not functioning properly. youll probably get some more knock when you figure that out and you finally get full boost (6-8 psi).

One thing is those plugs are too cold for a stock pulley...granted if your dropping to a 3.4/3.5 then they're fine...but you generally want the hottest spark possible you can get away with.

I'd say check for vacuum leaks too...might be something not quite noticeable at idle but when you get on it might open up...

like stated ^ since your not making much boost, your motor is not getting as hot as it will running full boost hence why your motor is not detecting detonation. once you fix your problem i doubt youll scan and see the same KR results as u do now..but hey you might

well im not posting any codes and i know my bbv is working i will attempt to look for leaks but i doubt that is an issue because i recently replaced the supercharger gasket, when i put this motor in the car, i know the m90 was in good shape as i installed the nicest m90 i have and it looked almost new (walls and rotors). this motor also pulled much harder than the last one i had and after the basic 1.5 dhp generic tune its awsome. makes my l67 fiero swap seem a bit weak considering im pushing a fat 4door fwd car compared to 1000lbs lighter rwd.

you still should be making more boost than that. 3-4 psi usually means the BBV is screwed.

if the bbv is messed up dont it limit it to 4psi??

i made more boost than that with headers and rockers. im thinking something is wrong and your not getting max boost.

disable the BBV properly and you wont have to buy a new solenoid for no reason (torque managment changes are the key here).
