I have a couple questions about these and yes I read all 9 pages of the other post. My exhaust is bone stock. Will I need anything other than thr O2 sensor harness extension, downpipe to ubend gasket, and some copper RTV to complete the install? I will be buying a set of bolts just in case something breaks during removal. What gasket do I need specifically and where do I get it? Will I really need to get a bent dipstick tube and if so can they be purchased pre bent? Also, my car is lowered quite a bit. Will I have problems with how low the downpipe extends below the vehicle? The stock ubend hasn't given me any trouble yet.

Copper RTV, the o2 extension, patience, and some PB Blaster for those stock exhaust bolts. Also, use just the stock metal GM manifold gaskets...and a new catback to DP gasket...done.

As in, reuse the ones that are currently installed?

I've heard that bend in the downpipe is not an issue. Someone on the local forums here said that the bend is actually still higher up than the frame

Oh, and exhaust wrap if you want.

Great Question ctrout... My headers will be at my place soon, and I've been picking and prawding through all the related threads.... good to get some final/solid answers.

Blue... did you say "a new catback to DP gasket" cuz the one that comes with the kit is garbage?? I know you said the header gaskets are trash (and stay stock).. you saying the same for the CAT-DP gasket (buy a better one)??

Yes...all header gaskets are crap. Get new ones from your local auto parts store.

ok so i ordered them, got shipping confirmation yesterday, and today they emailed me saying this:

We thank you for your purchase, however we do have some bad news for you. We have had numerous complaints about the fitment of this header, and we need to figure out if this header is indeed for the pontiac like our manufacturer claims to be. We have decided to pull this item from our line up until we have it sorted out. We apologize deeply for this inconvenience, and we have already issued you a full refund and canceled the transaction. We hope you understand.

    Thank you

    - dnamotoring

    Anyone else get canceled?

And yes this is posted in the other thread too

I got canceled too. I'm pissed! Not even an offer to discount me a set when they get the "problem" fixed. Should I leave negative feedback?

No they did you no wrong. They realize there is a problem and fixed it by not causing you any grief but the refund of your money. Don't give people negative feedback for stupid reasons. I hate people that do this on eBay. I have a sellers account on eBay and it is really hard to keep my 100% feedback now due to people leaving negative feedback when nothing wrong was done.

I think it sucks that I didnt get my headers, but they way they handled it deserves good feedback. They were willing to lose business in favor of making sure that they didnt send out a bad product.
