So my car has had a minor oil leak problem since I bought it last year. I've noticed in the past the oil pan always looks wet, but since it is just a drip here and there, no big deal. Today when I was changing the oil I noticed the flange all around the oil pan was soaked.

So am I correct in assuming that I could fix my oil leak problem by replacing the oil pan gasket?
