How much boost can a 3.8 take?

Well, from our founding fathers, the 3.8 can take stock boost which is 7-8lbs! If you're running a pulley small enough to make more boost than that i think you guys should watch out!

Anyone running boost higher than that must have a professional tune, this is obvious cause stock cars can't do this. Boost means power, power means best 1/4 mile period. If you guys want to go fast, you must run the stock pulley, unless of course you have "MODZ" this will let you run smaller pulleys!! I hope i can help you guys make the 400whp mark you're looking for!! Lets talk power!!

LMFAO!!! My SE runs 10psi on stock manifolds, yet for some reason it hasn't blown. WHOA! Ran my GTP on a 3.4 as well seeing about 10psi with headers.. yet again no sign of a dead motor hmm

Guess my L32 is pretty much dead before I put it in since i'll be seeing a whopping 9psi....

I haven't logged on to this site for over a month. I just had to get on when I heard about an inbred spreading false information.

After extensive review of such blasphemous post, I sense fail. Please sell your car and leave the W-Body scene for good.

    Thank you Capt Obvious.

I will agree on one point. If someone is running a pulley below 3.8 without any mods, YES they run a WAY GREATER risk of toasting their engine. There are some out there who are not educated to the ways of our engine, but given forums like these, fewer are likely to make that mistake. And there are some who actually questions about that very topic.

But yet you find yourself KING of all things 3800? But yet you find your way of making people feel stupid and incite hateful comments directed towards you. Like said in your PM to me. About how we all are "fools?"

As an Admin I try to be impartial as possible, but when I receive stuff like that, how do you think that makes me feel?

I will give this LAST AND FINAL warning to you Mike. Either play nice and get along with the other kids, or you will find yourself on the outs. That is about as simple as I can put it.

And if you dont understand that? I am sorry I can not help you anymore than that.

I think I have said enough on this topic.

Haha thats my trademark avatar lol Cool! How's the top swap going? Has it blown up on 9 PSI due to lack of forged internals and super duper chilly NAWZ setup?!?!
