I have a 1997 Grand Prix 3.8L 6 cyl with a 3800 supercharger engine. Was driving and the car just died. Hooked a gauge to check the fuel pump pressure and upon start up it read 40-50 psi and then the pressure slowly starts to drop and finally the cars stalls. I bought the car used and was told by the owner that he changed the fuel pump but the fuel filter was not brought up, so my question is should I change the filter first before the pump? And also is there a way to do a check out of the pump? And what about the resistors and relays I been reading about whats a good way to check those out?
