No Cam, No Rockers, No IC!

I believe with the tuning I've done since, I should be in the high 12s with the same mods

Hence my suggestions. I'll be sure to CLICK next time

The heads make a lot of difference in what size pulley you can run. I have basically the same set up as you but w/o the P&P heads and I can only go 3.25 on the pulley.

    Goal - WOT 17 - 18* timing, 11.6 AFR and NO KR with my mods = 3.25

Last year I ran a 3.0" pulley with a Full Intercooler, 1.9 Rockers, PEMs, 3" exh, 42.5# inj, FP rewire, Alt rewire and booster, Overkill tuned... and 0KR on 91 Octane.

I just recently did TOG headers and a few other things. I hope to get a fresh tune and run my 2.9" Non-Slip DUB and the WBS Elimi-slip KR free. Guess we'll see...

A few months after i got my GTP back in april of 2005, i slapped on what i THOUGHT was a 3.25'' pulley. This was very stupid i know and i knew nothing about modding a GTP back then but it was actually a 3.0'' pulley that i had on there i came to find out later. I was running the 3.0 with an intake and exhaust on 87-89 octane fuel for about a year and a half! I drove the car very hard almost every day also. Finally in December of 2006 my cylinder #1 piston completely exploded on a WOT run one day. When i think back to that now i can't believe that engine survived that long under those conditions.

But to run a 3.0 knock free you almost have to have an IC, or XP cam, headers and a good tune. Otherwise you'll run into problems. These are very strong engines though and with the right supporting mods they will last a very long time.

P.S Has got acquainted with the girl, http://cyberblady.com, how it to you? Only it is fair!

Thanks and for the record i couldn't of done it without Overkills tuning skills. He did so much for my car by his tuning skills.

Several have done a 3.0" and even smaller w/ the Full IC and Rocker combo but the only way you're going to accomplish this is with a good Full Sized IC, you ain't going to do it with an SS unless your cammed and such. A good IC is the best investment you can make in these cars as far as i'm concerned. This comming from a guy w/ 2 GTPs that are Full ICed. To go even smaller on a an IC/Rocker car you'll defaintly need headers and a freer exhaust.
