friend of mine got some for his berretta and loves them (no crossover pipe so no leak he says) I just wonder how well they fit the price isn't too bad compared to the slp and TOG's

got rid of TOGs for a set of these instead. install was cake, sealed right up. the only thing is getting someone to weld the shorty they give you with the headers to your cat.

    otherwise these headers are great.

As said above, they fit great. I have installed many different sets of headers on these cars, and the S&S fit the best. If you hear any BS about the 02 sensor placement, it's exactly that, bs.

The TOG's only read off one bank too, but with the S&S you can weld in another bung to pick up both banks right before the outlet.

I've had my S&S on for 5+ years now, and I'm the second owner!

    Hey Ron,

This is gonna be a newb headers question, I am going to be getting a set sometime sooner than later and I weighing all my options. I am curious about the reason why would want to have the Bung placement where it can read both banks.

I think I might have an idea, but like I said, I am a newb to this stuff. So if you could enlighten me? I would be much appreciated. Also are your headers still wrapped or did get them ceramic coated? Any other information on them would be most helpful! ie their diameter or piping size as compared to SLP, TOGs etc.

    Many thanks for your time

Mine were coated, but I wrapped them too. Pipe diameter is 1.5" IIRC, so smaller than TOG's, SLP's and Pacesetters. Collector diameter is 2.5" not 3" like the others. Personally I think this is better for velocity.

Reading both banks is probably a peace of mind thing. Although there really should be no drawback to it.

I found that info when I went back over the Wbody store's page on the headers comparision. When you say velocity, I am guessing with the smaller collector, you obviously gain a bit more bottom end on the car and still get a fair amount of top end, not as much as the others with their 3" collector though? And that difference, I am guessing mind you, the amount of extra pressure from the smaller collector helps to build up momentum quicker?

If I am saying that right? Good...... If I am saying that wrong? Just smack me with a fish or something

Okay so i'm probably going to buy these S&S headers and i'm wondering does the downpipe it comes with replace the u-bend? I may have asked that somewhere before but i'm not sure. also, is there anything elese you need to buy with it for installing them, or does it come with everything you need. (i'm kinda a n00b and my brother will be installing them)

the downpipe it comes with is a shorty that you have to weld onto the cat, so youll have to get another small piece of pipe with an o2 bung to delete the u-bend as well. ZZP sells a really nice replacement for it that is a reducer with an o2 bung and a flange to keep the catback stock looking.

otherwise it comes with everything you need since you just reuse the manifold bolts/nuts that were on the car already.

S&S's are nice, the 2 piece design will help seal better. I'll be getting some soon.
