Car : 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (L67)
Engine : 3.8 Supercharged (hence the section)
Problem : Every now and again (around every 1 to 3 times I drive) I'll notice a little bit of smoke coming from under my hood and a smell of coolant. My temperature is completely fine, but when I pop the hood I notice a little coolant to the left of the engine sorta underneath the supercharger. I would like to know what needs to be replaced so I can get it done before the harshness of winter REALLY sets in. It's not been a really big issue since it only seems to happen now and again and it's such a small leak (or atleast it seems to be).

Anyway I guess I just want some insight into what it might be and if there has been a coolant issue with the supercharge 2001 models. Maybe some sort of gasket? I did notice there was a recall on the rocker cover gasket and something about an intake manifold gasket. But when I called the dealership he said it was performed and I was screwed basically O_o. Well that's it though, so thanks in advance
01' Pontiac Grand Prix GTP... work in progress.

I had issues like this when I first bought my car, but it was the front valve cover gasket was leaking oil onto the front exhaust manifold and burning it off. I would check into that, even if the dealership said they replaced the gaskets.

As for the coolant, it is hard to tell just from your post where the coolant is coming from. Could be a variety of places. Anything from heater hoses, water pump, LIM gaskets, plastic coolant elbows. You really need to pinpoint for yourself where it is leaking from. No one can give you a for sure part to replace over the internet.

my money is on the coolant elbows.... alot easier and way way cheaper to replace that the LIM gasket, i would check them first. when mine went bad i could actually see the coolant spitting out right where they are located. but if you have the time money and skill i would go ahead and do the LIM gasket, you need to do the coolant elbows anyways in the process, and the LIM is going to go bad pretty soon seems like they always do.
