Didn't know the modded 1.9's had modded pedestals too...I thought you retained the stock use and stock springs because they are modded stockers...maybe I'm wrong.

It's what ZZP's ad says so i don't know. I don't know how "modified" they are.

Oh, by the way, plan on after Dec. 10th doing the trans swap. Should have enough scrounged up by then. I appreciate you guys so much for helping me. It's even more a burden now because my mom's Buick Century is acting really funny in the front end. I have yet to take a look at it, but doesn't alarm me too badly, but it is my ride to school now. So me having my DD is a must, so i can take my mom to work and back and still be able to go to work, and my dad have a car also. 2 out of 3 cars being down isn't fun... lol.

Well...it'll HAVE to be the 12th then. Because the 19th is a XMas party and the next week...well...I'm booked for obvious reasons.

As for the pedestals...email them and tell them you want to buy just those...or ask what they do to them to make them modified...because if that's the case...you might be able to DIY that.

They need to be modified for the push rod clearance. Its not much, just need to shave out enough to where they dont contact.

You need to modify the peds. Otherwise you'll see misfires on all cylinders as they don't open the valves properly.

If you use a caliper and measuer 10mm from the bolt opening, you'll have the correct clearnance. I've measured ZZP Peds at 10-13mm
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

So what exactly do i do, I have never dealt with the pedestals before and quite frankly can't really picture them either.

Just make sure they are in fact "modded rockers" I had someone try to pass off stock rockers for modded ones.

How can you tell without comparing it to a stocker. Maybe I really didn't look at mine too hard but they looked the same as my stockers.

Do you not read any posts after a rocker swap? Big notice after 4K or so. End of story.

Exactly, if you want it, go for it. They greatly increase top-end, but you will not see the same effects as a cam. Rockers are said to add about 20 hp, and with supporting mods and tuning i'd say that's probably a good estimate. GP's have enough low-end that rockers are good to keep the car pulling top end wise instead of the power-band falling off, thus the dramatic hp increase.
