So exactly how much are u charging when u say "on the cheap"? And if getting the case powder coated, what about the case warping if going that route?
after reading a couple posts through ClubGP and here on GPF, they have said that in some cases, the supercharger casing has warped.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND...hence why I'd rather polish it or just paint it with some crazy high temp rattle can and be done.
Cases warp from being improperly torqued. Cases do not warp from being heated to 400*. If that were the case, aluminum would be useless.
well ****, MY BAD.
still i say polished FTW!
It all depends on what Your going for looks wise Ive seen some nice setups Powder coated or custom painted but the polished is sweet
in fact, some of the 97 cases come factory powdercoated that nasty cream color
Oh I haven't done anyones so far. And any retard can polish I'm just saying if some one wants it done talk to me I'll do it for less than $200
Polishing isn't hard lol just tedious therfor people don't wanna do it them selves. So I just threw it out there that I would do it
Well, generally people want to see what kind of job they do before they hand you their SC and cash. That is a fair price, but what kind of work do you do? In other words, what are they getting exactly for their money and how meticulous of a job do you do?
screw that polishings a B!tch Thank god for the media blaster or else Id be putting dirty parts back on my engine
Im going to have a hell of a time clean my lim bead blasted it and then hit it with a parts washer but thers caked on bead in it
Just get some chrome spray paint :) Worked well on my demo car lol.
Well its not hard, ive polished many many items before, not just car parts. You just have to get past the rough paper then it gets alot easier because your just taking out the final scratches. And blue i doubt youve ever polished anything so please, once again stfu. thanks. and if anyone is interested i can do 50 dollars down then the rest later if you done trust me
Your telling me the STFU when you just said yourself you've never polished a supercharger...I HAVE TRIED...but I ended up sending it to Reptile because it IS that difficult. How about you go buy a used blower and give it a shot. In fact...if you want to buy the one hanging out in my garage I'd sell it to you just to see how "well" yours is going to turn out. And saying someone to give you $50 and you have no pictures of ANY sort of work you've done...is funny.
I polished the turbo for my friends pull truck. Took an ass load of time, but looks ba.
