it doesnt really act funny, it just pulls timing and dumps boost so that you cant destroy anything. if you tune the car right it no longer does this. usually when the torque thresholds are reached the car starts knocking and it just increases. when you push these thresholds out enough then the car no longer knocks and moves a lot faster.

but, without this you have the potential to destroy your transmission A LOT faster. thats why i blew up two transmissions in the short time i was tuned and running a 3.2 pulley. a normal off the shelf tune still has a bunch of protection left.

ok well something really wierd happened today, i was playin with a saab turbo on the way home from work today... we were in and out of the throttle for a few miles doin 90 - to low 100's... car bogged down to 4000 rpms, check engine flashed. so i dropped down to 65 mph and held it steady for a lil bit and the light went off and the car went back to normal. any ideas what caused this?

flashing SES means a large misfire condition. there was a high load on your car when you were going that fast. best to hope you didnt do any motor damage. that has nothing to do with abuse mode.

lots of knock. chipping pistons. screwing up spark plugs.

any number of things. i would say that your car isnt running right and youre just making it worse.

I heard there's some setting in there that if it knocks enough it cuts off the injectors.
Idr what it is exactly but I know it's off.

torque abuse mods will either pull timing or cut injectors. you can tune to which one it pulls. there is diffrent levels of abuse mods in which case more things get pulled.

like said, its there to save motor/trans. ive left all mine stock except raise rev limiters.

^^You still have the speed limiter?

That has been the destruction of MANY supercharged cars around here from what I've heard...I've seen the oil pan of a couple...WOT and full boost and fuel cuts at 128...all that air = epic lean and then BOOM...sure does make a nice megaphone when you pull the block out and the piston is MIA.
