A couple weeks ago I was at my dad's friend's house because he is selling parts off his GTX to upgrade them when he gets his new s/c (car ran low 12s so I know all the parts are good). He let me take him his throttle body (72mm) w/ a spacer on it to test it out to see if I would want to buy it. Then on Friday I ordered the K&N CAI from wbodystore and once I get that I'll put them on at the same time. So my questions are what all will I see with the TB and TB spacer? power? sound? knock reduction? He said he'd sell it to me for between $100-$150 and I looked on ZZP and that would be like $250+ so it seems like a good deal. Is it worth it?

May I assume it is the stage 1 TB? I'm only asking to help others answer your question. I have opinions, but no first hand experience. I'm sure those that port TBs will have a different take than I do.

IF you can cancel the K&N, I would. It's very expensive and is really a HAI. This you could make with home depot pieces for a lot less. For a potentially better gain a FWI or CAI may be a better option.

Our M90's like big TB's. The stock one is too small, so the 72mm would probably be just right for you. I had my old 72mm TB from 13.70's all the way down to low 12's. It will help increase SC efficiency with less drag on the rotors. Seat of the pant's you may not feel anything, but it's a good idea to upgrade if the price is right.

All right I did that and got the Wizaired CAI. Another question about the throttle body, will it reduce KR at all?
