Sorry..Tried to answer you. The 97-03 is the 6th Gen Grand Prix. The only difference is the SE was 3.1 if the 97 was a GTP then it should fit since they had the SAME motor. And then again even if it was a base 97 it still should fit.

Yes it will work, they are the same motor.

It will as long as your not dealing with the PCM...its fine.
