I am looking for a used 3.8 supercharged engine. I have been looking on ebay and local junk yards but I figure this is the best place to find one. So any body that has any or knows where I can get one let me know. Thank you

I did. They are on ebay. They want like 1500 for a used one. A little pricey for me.

The my cylinder wall is scratched. I checked on a rebuild kit and I think it would be cheaper to just get a good used engine.

i have all the parts for an l67 short block minus a decent crank sitting in my garage if your interested. the cylinder walls would need to be berry bushed because they have some hot spots but otherwise its in good shape. i bought the engine this summer because i thought i needed the short block but turned out i only needed a crank so all the rest is for sale. some parts have been sold but all the short block parts remain. i do have a crank u could put in it but it would need to be turned an that'd be up to you because i've heard both that you shouldn't turn our cranks and that you can so idk on that. its got 82000 miles on it. if your interested let me know an we can talk prices an such.

That's going to be your best bet with out a doubt. Your better off just calling him. Tell him your from the fourms and you'll most likely get a pretty decent deal on what you need. I've had great luck dealing with Ed. He's great to deal with for anything w-body related.

You won't find to many motor's on the fourms, and if you do not very often are you going to find somthing trun key ready, if that's what your looking for.

just get a short block from a local yard. unless morad is close then i dont think his "deals" are that good. you actually might pay a little more just because he specializes in the 3800 platform.

I found one in a local salvage yard for 500. Supercharger and all. 97,000 miles. I think that was a pretty good deal myself.

again, why do you need the WHOLE engine when you can get just a BLOCK and save $200 on it.

I would rather buy the whole engine then pay 200 more for just a block, your going to put more than 200 into a block getting it running.

not really. gaskets might get you, but if you dont swap out the better half of the gaskets on your "new" engine then youre taking the easy way out anyway.
