Well installed my CAI and car ran great! we put my sub and amp in at the shop the next day, came home and i started adjusting amp/sub. I feel what i thought was a miss at idle. turned down stereo and all of a sudden check engine light comes on and starts missing bad at idle. turn car off, let it sit and i take off the CAI and reinstall it from scratch. Engine light goes off and miss is gone. now i hear what sounds like an exhaust leak coming from under hood. My 1st thought was converter cloged. but would that throw engine light? and if so why did it quit.

The first thing you should do is find out what code was thrown to cause the SES light to come on. We can sit here and guess what happened or what is bad. But something specific made that light turn on. Take the car to Autozone and have them scan the car for free. Then come on here, tell us exactly what the code is (like P0235), and we can tell you more exactly what is wrong and what needs replaced.

like zef said, get the code checked.. it should still be in memory. --do check all of your vaccum lines, you may have knocked one loose durring your install.

No way, the guessing game is more fun. "I just changed 3 things, replaced 2 things, and took out something. Now my SES light is on. How do I fix it?"
