Was driving in about 20 Celcius rainy weather today when suddenly my RPM, temp, and fuel gauge all dropped to zero, and I got TCS and low fuel messages, as well as my DIC screens all turned to errors. At that exact same moment, my OBDII bluetooth scantool lost connection as well.

Restarted the car, fixed everything for about another 5-10 minutes and it happened again, and that's exactly how it's been happening since.

I was figuring my (stock) PCM took a dump or my new ODBLink scantool was causing issues, but from the searching I've done on here it kinda sounds like symptoms of a bad CPS, though it just seems like a lot of things to be affected over just a crank sensor. Although my car can be a real pain to crank in the morning after it's been off for a long time.

Possibly related, over the past week I've developed some really random and sporadic KR readings, mostly part throttle, was thinking they were just false or something. I actually got a negative KR reading of -0.1 about 10 minutes before this first happened today. Filled up with 94 today instead of my usual 91, but didn't change at all.

What's your guys thoughts? Going to avoid using the new scantool for tomorrow just incase.

This may sound dumb, but have you check both battery cables and terminals? Make sure they're clean and tight. Weird things happen when they corrode or get even a bit loose.

Actually i forgot to mention this, but thats the first thing I checked, and my negative terminal was quite loose from when i had it off recently. Got it right tight and still no difference, and the terminals are very clean. Checked my fuses too.

I'd lean more towards a crank sensor than anything; a bricked or fried PCM wouldn't usually let the car even start at all.

    Been there; done that.

Turned out to be the scantool. Tried to update it to see if it'd fix it, and it bricked the whole thing right away. Got a refund and I've ordered an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge instead!

I was going to say..none of the symptoms matched a CKPS.. CPS for what it's worth is a cam position sensor.
