I'm working on getting the parts together for my top-swap and in anticipation of knock I'm getting some knock killing parts. I know the point of both the blower and TB spacer is that it blocks the coolant passages and lowers intake temps thus reducing knock. But how much better of a job does the blower spacer do? is it worth the $60ish in price difference?

    Thanks.

Unless you are going to spray some meth threw either one dont buy them. Just epoxy the holes in the lim to block the coolant.

drill and tap the holes in the LIM and be done with it. unless youre spraying there is no reason for any kind of spacer. even if you are you can tap you blower case just as easily.

A ported blower will help you more than anything. But, if you want, i can make you a 1/4" spacer real cheap.

haha how cheap? just to avoid the hassle. the epoxy idea sounds like its fairly common? i plan to have the blower ported as well as the LIM, I just dont want that coolant flowing through the blower and TB

I'm not sure who I'm going to have do it yet. I was going to look into doing it myself. Other options include GBP and the shop that's going to magnaflux my heads.

I had plan to polish it myself because I have a polishing wheel. I'd be interested in getting the blower, LIM, and TB ported.

This may be a dumb question. But is there a service called flow-matching for injectors? Is that how people advertise them as flow-matched? If so where can I get that done?

I had a GBP blower, LIM, and TB on the Impala. It all sounded great and ran even better. I loved the whir the blower made at low RPMs then the ridiculous whine at high RPMs.
