Most people tend to over tighten them and the aluminum mount bends in as it gets tighter. with the vibrations in the engine, it can cause them to snap.

The best advice I can give you is what Ed told me, make sure you tighten them, but not overly tight. Also, if you can get a washer to act as a spacer for those to go between the bushing and the mount, it'll help a little also.

Hopefully you can get a replacement in somewhat quick and get it all put together. Hope this helps.
Thanks Matt, I shouldve known all heck would break loose before AF LOL

that part only looks to be $22 for one side and $52 for the other, from one of the online GM parts retailers. Not sure which one is in the picture.

David did you use one of the places I PM'd you. If so I want to check with them on my referral fee.
The drivers side one was the cheaper of the two. Glad that was the one.

Cool, those guys are really good. Anytime they've had a question about what I ordered they've called me to verify instead of just potentially sending the wrong item.

Maybe this time...polish this weak piece of pop-tin aluminum instead of plating it.

dont feel bad. i have the same dog bones, same mounts, and whatnot, and i broke mine too. mine are slightly too small for the hole, and it snapped. i use some washers to make it right...
