Yeah you might have to pull the valve cover. My heads were off when I did mine so I did not have an issue.

It cost me a few cuts and a lot of bleeding but I got it. I fired it up and of course it is leaking like crazy, (thats what you get with slip in pipes). But the exhaust tone is deeper and a lot more aggressive. Let it run for about 10 minutes and watch the smoke roll off new pipes and listen to the flap flap flap of the leaking crossover. I'm taking it monday to get it all welded and all should be good!

Thanks to all for the suggestions! I did exactly what you guys said rock the motor all the way forward and pulled the valve cover. Albeit it didn't go right in, but it gave it the room to wiggle it in and work!

I took it for a quick spin with my pops who just got home from work. We first listened to it to make sure it was just an exhaust leak and not a knock or lifter tap (which would make no sense seeing how it was fine like a day ago but who knows, crazier things have happened). Took it for a quick whirl and needless to say ENDLESS topend power.

Bluegtp was right, my car did fall off hard from 5k up, now it pulls all the way through the powerband and hard. I looked at my dad and said, "runs pretty good don't it?" He looked at me and said "Yea! That thing got to 60 in no time", Then he goes "DON'T TELL MOM, She hates that you have this thing" Lol, my mom is so scared of me and my brothers maniacle cars. Anyway, an excellent bang for the buck mod, i'll have to wait for them to be all sealed to really dive into how it feels and sounds. But for right now, I'm tired and will never do a header install myself AGAIN!!!!(probably a lie but it's worth a shot)

Thanks, I'll definitely post up a new vid. Oh and another question for eveybody, is it okay to delete both o2 sensors on the rear mani and downpipe by just getting it tuned to read fine? Cause i really can't get my o2 sensor off my old rear manifold.
And to answeer the other question, no i didn't have a plog before hand, although, if anyone is interested I have a 2.5" ZZP cat-less downpipe for sale since it's useless to me now. Only has about 1k miles on it.

You can't delete the 02 sensor that was on the rear manifold. The 02 sensor by the cat is only used to determine if the cat is working. You could get a filler for the hole that's in the new d/p section granted you will get a "check engine" light unless you delete the p0420 code out of the pcm.

When you have them weld up your headers you might need a new 02 bung my 02 sensor hits the floor of my car. I plan on welding in a new one next time my car is on a lift.

Also you need to buy an extension harness for the sensor or you have to make your own.

Yea, lol, I figured that out yesterday the hard way! So it's still sitting, but i did order an extension from zzp that should be here tomorrow. Which o2 hit your floor? The front or the rear? My front one clears fine it's the rear, which i don't use, that would seem to pose a problem.

Oh yea Bio, I had been following your new car thread. Good choice on the Subaru, they have a great motor and they are so sexy!!!

    Sounds good!

Where do you buy SSAC headers from? Straight from their website?
1999 GTPHP Tuned, Ported SC/TB, 42#'s, SSAC's, ZZP Modded 1.9's/LS6 Springs/Manley's, TransGo Shift Kit, Poly Uppers, KYB GR2's/Springtech's. - 231k and traded it in. - Gone
    2000 GTP: XP, P&P'd Heads, N*\Lq4 MAF, GenV, 42#'s, PRJ Rails\FPR, Racetronix, TEP w/ 3.29 Gears, 300m, 7/8" chain, SSAC's. - Collecting dust in my garage.
