Hey guys, 2 quick questions for you all,

    1. On some occassions when starting the a/c it sounds like there is a quail calling from the passenger side. I have the digital dual climate head unit in case there is a difference. After turning it off then turning it back on it will go away. This happens once or twice a week. is this a bad blower motor?

    2. This seems to be a pretty common problem ive been reading...basically the air blows out pretty cold on the passenger side and lukewarm on the drivers side...also the passenger side blows nice and hard while the drivers is barely blowing through. I had the freon tested and the shop said the levels were fine with it. Think this could be the actuator?

    thanks

Q1. Answer, yes, the bearing in the blower motor is about done. Most the time, your car will leak a little water down into the fan from above, and it has no where to go once in there. Poor GM design.

Sometimes you can remove the lower rubber hose from the bottom of the housing, and insert a straw attached to a can of white lithium grease and spray some in there to lube the bearing. This is a band aid fix, but it does work and lets you get more life out of it. Or, you can replace the fan motor, your call.

Q2. Answer yes, your correct with this problem being the actuator.
