Do you have a resonator? If not, that is the problem.

This sort of helps me out, lol. I've been thinking about getting an exhaust mod of some sort. I've heard about Downpipes, Headers and Cat Back Systems. I am not sure which way I'll go, but I certainly don't want anything that will produce intolerable cabin noise. I wonder if you wrapped that downpipe with something that is sound deadening and heat resistant. I wonder if that would be a cheap fix.

Whle razzing him is fun, isn't it possible that in doing this his downpipe is now hitting the sway bar causing it to increase the sound loudly like he's mentioning?

Have you flipped your mounts yet or put in poly to stop the engine movement?

Did you flip the sway bar to ensure the exhaust wouldn't make contact with it?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I had the 3IN DP first and it sounded good with a big power boost. The DP isn't against anything that was def apparent bc I was under there watching. And the mounts are still stock and I'll have to recheck the sway bar. thanks for the tip...yes 2.25 sorry. Which makes it even further from fitting lol. I'm looking into the wrapping. I remember something about it on clubgp.com.

I dont think the downpipe is the issue..........provided that it is not hitting anything....

I thought I remembered them saying it should be 24" or longer to eliminate the rasp.......I am not sure though.
