And that is a good thing!

I got the new ZZP 3" catted downpipe installed a week and a half ago ("exhaust that blows") and tonight I got my TDC fender well intake installed ("intake that sucks"). I took my 2000 GTP out for a test drive tonight and boy does it whine! Before, I could barely hear the supercharger with the windows down. Now I can hear it with the windows up, air running, and the radio on!

I always knew that my supercharger was "quiet" when I drove my in-laws' 2007 Grand Prix GT and I could hear their supercharger with the windows up, and with all stock parts, but boy it sounds great! Those poor saps that have no idea what a supercharger sounds like will wonder what that sound is, but to me it is bliss.

My PLOG arrives tomorrow, along with a GMPP Sway Bar set, and new wheel bearing. The wheel bearing is going on first, and then the front sway bar since they are both broken, and then I'll tackle the PLOG and the rear sway bar... With my other mods done, I will be sitting ready for a good seafoaming, new 104 plugs, and then a pulley and tune or tuned PCM! I'm getting so close to my goal of a nice daily driver/sleeper with a solid 3.5" pulley setup. I know that it won't touch what many of you have done, but it will be fun when I get there.

I dont think you need the 104 plugs until you get the pulley on, but I dont think it would hurt anything either if you did. I also got the TDC FWI intake put on over the weekend and it is a lot louder......awesome.......the only thing I dont like is the dragon sucking sound when you first start the car and it is cold. In the last two weeks I have put on the TDC FWI, new plugs, new TDC plug wires, dual interceptor gauges, oil change, SC oil change, tranny pan drop-new filter and fluid, radiator flush, new thermostat.......I think that is all. Sounds like we will have a very similar set up. I will be ordering my dp soon I hope......

I like the way you put that.... "Dragon Sucking"

I know what you mean. At idle it is fine, but at low, but moving, RPMs, it is strange sounding. Not so bad when warmed up though.

I changed my SC oil last fall (that stuff smells the REALLY nasty feet) and put on new, thicker wires. Then a couple of weeks ago I starting by doing the "dogbone flip", 180* t-stat, coolant change out (no more Dexcool), oil change (synthetic of course) the 3" DP, and tonight the TDC FWI.

I really should do a tranny pan drop and fill w/filter, but I need to get some of the broken stuff fixed first. Besides, mine isn't THAT bad. It may be old fluid since I have a 2000, but I just hit 54,000 miles on the car. It should be done for good measure due to the age, but just hasn't hit the top of my list yet.

So yeah, we have similar setups and have done similar things lately.

Oh, and the Seafoam/104 plugs/pulley/tune are all, at this time, planned to happen within 2 days. Seafoam one evening so that I smoke out the neighborhood after dark, and then put in the new plugs, and then the next day, drop the pulley and get the tune/tuned PCM. I am not sure exactly when this will happen, but since the Seafoam tends to kill spark plugs, and I am probably running on the originals still, I am hoping to do it all yet this year, but with me starting a new job in 2 weeks that is 2 hours away from home, my time/money will be a little more tied up with the costs of living in one place while my family lives in another until a move takes place.

I hear you on the money issue. I also did the seafoam thing a couple of weeks back.....did the gas/oil/and the brake booster vac line........fwiw. Did you notice any difference from just putting on the DP or just the FWI when you put them on? power wise I mean?

I can't speak to the FWI yet as I was just giddy (yes, GIDDY) with the S/C sound. it was also a little cooler out tonight, so the extra "pep" I felt may have been just the fact that it was about 15 degrees cooler than earlier in the day. I'll give it a run through the paces in the morning and report back.

The biggest thing that I noticed with the DP was a slight exhaust note change (a little deeper, even at higher RPM) which was nice. Power boost??? Maybe, but if there was, it was just a couple of HP most likely, and nothing that I could actually pin-point. I just know that my car is close (with the new PLOG it will be) to breathing correctly for a smaller pulley.

I would think that if nothing else, I eliminated some * of KR that I didn't know I had... Man I wish that I had someone nearby who could scan for me...
