I am curious, as I have had to order a couple things for my engine this week (egr pipe, and tb gasket due to mechanic who evidently didn't believe in bolts) my question is does everyone have to special order everything, or just my area. Not one store here stocks any gasket except egr, even the dealer has had to order everything (had a caliper bracket bolt mess up and it took a week to get) it really has me baffled

im not surprised the dealer had to order the caliper bracket bolt.. those arent a popular replacement item. now the caliper pin bolt, yeah. tb gaskets arent all that common, but i would expect that a full fledged napa/carquest would have them. not likely for autozone though.

EGR pipe, yeah, I can see them having to order that. TB gasket, one local store had it. One didn't. Don't know if they stock that or not. But typically stores will look at the items they most sell, and stock those parts. So if they don't sell a lot of TB gaskets for 97-03 GPs, then yes, they will not stock them.

not one stocked it here (napa tells me a week on any part for it, car quest has morons who were fired from auto zone and advance so they can't help) dealer has the tube I need for 20 bucks but it's in MS
