Well i went out and had a little fun with some buddies tonight and everything was going great and then i reved up my car a bit and then this ticking started happening... at first i thought it was the S/C coupler so i took the belt off and spun the pulley and no noise and then just to verify i started the car with out the S/C belt on and the noise was still there... but here is where i get confused it only does it at an idle, and when you give it gas it slowly starts to go away?? an ideas on what it could be?at first i thought it was the valve train but wouldn't it continue to tick as the rpms go up? but now i am thinking bottom end... any help on where to start checking first would really help

    Its most likely lifter tick.

A video would help. Does it tick on a cold start then fade away once warmed up?

Does the US L67 Have two belts ,one for the motor and one for the supercharger like here in Australia ? If it does remove the engine belt and the sc belt and start it ,if the noise goes away it might be a noisey Idler bearing or if its still there take a piece of long rubber hose or a long screw driver put on the motor very carefuly while its running and hold it to your to try to isolate sound

Also since the noise goes away when you rev it up, it could simply be a noisey lifter or rocker and its going quiet when the oil pressure increases and finaly injectors can make a ticking sound at times

took the S/C belt off and the noise was still there i am going to try to isolate it after i get back home... but from what it sounds like i think it may be over on the pulley side of the engine so i was thinking a bearing... idk yet and don't have the time to check it right now

alright guys here are a few vids... sorry about the quality all i had was my cell phone, i am lead to believe it has something to do with the crank pull as you will see in the second video... i don't think that it is suppose to move like it is.

dude..if thats the harmonic balancer in the second vid then replace its bad. if you remove the balancer and the entire shaft still moves like that then you need to buy a motor instead

He suggested to run it with both belts off, which is a good suggestion. Don't **** with the Aussies when it comes to these engines, they know their **** and this platform, it just goes by different names over there...
