I have the XS Performance headers I bought off ebay for around 350 shipped and they are stainless. I've been running them around a year and love them. You won't need a bigger MAF untill you upgrade your TB. You can find alot of used N* on the forums. I'm running the ZZP 78mm TB with my stock MAF with no issue. The ba part is they cost $350. If you plan on modding the car more in the future you should go with the MPS. Bigger radiator isn't nesasary but would be nice. You could pic up a used SSIC for the price of a larger radiator and see alot bigger gains. Everything else looks good.

Sounds good so far. If you need some ported heads just let us know. We have some sitting here now that we just got in. Also you know we do blower and LIm porting right?

Let us know if you have any more questions about your build. You will def need an LQ4 MAF sensor.

why would you go with a cam you can use on stock heads when you plan on using ported heads? doesnt make sense to me. if youre going cam only you want to go bigger.

if you want to get an intercooler the cam choice isnt going to matter AS much.

Well s1x is my choice before i was going to get head work done
When i posted I had a bunch of thoughts running through my head

I still have to find out about the head work cost and who will be doing it and so on

As far as the i/c goes It will be another $1000 that id really like to send to my matco tools rep and get some shiny new toys sent my way

headwork at an engine shop should be anywhere from $400-1000 depending upon what you have done, but either way youll have better heads than any of the vendors sell.

You should just get an intercooler tha way you could throw some crazy boost at it, high 12's is a possibility then.

he is right, an intercooler will be more effective than a cam only.

Yea I may be putting off buying tools till spring Or I may just add an intercooler in spring either way

ic setup, cam, headwork, and hp tuner will put me at around 2600 then trans and tc another 2000 I guess that aint to bad Ive spent more on cars and got less performance for it

yeah, with that setup you should easily be able to pull off a run in the 12s. how deep into the 12s depeneds on the tune and the driver.

it depends how often you wanna drive it...if i had a better trans id be pretty close to your numbers with a stock cam...there are many routes in getting to your goals you just need to figure out exactly what you want

I have spent $1k on fueling upgrades along to get to 12's (over half of that was for fuel rails and -an stainless lines though). Granted, I did it with a rocker setup. Just something to keep in mind thought, at the level of performance you are after you will be at the limit of a stock fuel setup.

There is the overall driveability of the car too when deciding on a cam, the powerband changes enough to make an XPZ'd car no fun to drive on the street when compared to a medium cam such as the S1X.

He should hit mid 12's with just a S1X cam if the tune is right.

He should be fine with a rewire and 42.5# inj. These stock rails have been pushed to 600whp without any ill affects.

Im pretty sure im sticking with the s1x cam anything to wild will be harder to tune and harder to smog with.
Im also sure im going with tog's (carb legal) and the lucas? 42.5# injectors, ported heads, and then a good dyno tune. Plus all the little things in there debating on getting a n/a block though depends on funds. Ill have the T3P trans ordered as soon as i get an email back

In all reality I dont need a 12 sec car but it would be nice to know the powers there.
Im going to the strip with my car stock and trans thats on the way out.. To see where its at then ill go once the new build is broke in and see where i took it to other wise probably wont see much "track time"
