I have GTP Supercharged and use Premium as that's what's recommended. I was wondering if anyone with this motor has used Shell Gasolines V-Power Premium gas, and if so, have you noticed a difference in MPG or had any problems after using, etc?

I've used it. Didn't notice anything different, and you won't. I've always felt like Shell made a higher quality gasoline, but it's usually more expensive, so I would say it doesn't matter as long as you're using 93-94 octane.

I use whatever 93 the on-base station has. They guarantee no ethanol content so that works for me.

i fill up at whatever gas station is closest to me at the time with whatever premium they have. if youre worried about your car running crappy from gas then your tune is too strict.

Curious why you say this? I have always thought of Shell to be a quality fuel, but that could all be in my head.

I am not too picky on stations, as long as octane >= 93.

All we get is 91 too although we had 93 years ago which is what I used to run. Nowadays I make sure to get gas without ethenol in it. I prefer not to put **** in my tank...

How come you think E85 is crap? It's th best fuel out there for a high horsepower build. Or even a moderate street driven build if you are able to find it. We have a cupple stations around here with it.

105 octane. At the price of 87 or less. Sure it uses more fuel. But so does that 400 horsepower car your driving around when you compare it to a honda.

Ummm, you're talking about something else, not what i'm talking about...

I'm talking about the 10% bull**** they mix in regular gas, thats what I avoid. Alot of people have had problems because of that ****. I want ethanol free gas. Before Alky my car would get KR with anything 10%, regular gas I never got KR.

As for E85, I know very little about it but I do know its been proven to help out. I know someone who runs it in his STI with great results. Would I run it? No, why? Because its not readily availible all over and I actully drive my car places. Also the ONLY E85 station here is about 20 miles away from me in the opossite direction of where i'm from, not worth it for me. My friend on the other hand, he works right by that station so its convinent for him. Plus he never leaves OKC. Until E85 is readily availible all over the country (which I doubt will happen anytime soon), I ain't running it...

Yeah I get what your saying but why is up to 10% of E85 being mixed with regular gas a bad thing? Besides possibly decreasing the amount of miles you get to a tank.

I've heard of several people having fuel system problems running that stuff with all sort of different vehicle.

Also it is recommended on small engine like lawnmowers and such NOT to run 10% mixed gas in them. On weedeaters and such, don't mix oil with 10% gas either. There was a report on the local news a few months ago and lawnmower shops were saying don't run this crap gas in your small engines. Supposedly this gas kills weedeaters easy enough. They were piled up with ****ed up weedeater and lawnmowers because of this stuff.

Besides that, my car before the alky would get a couple degrees of KR and a couple MPG less on the HWY with 10%, with regular gas I never got knock and of course MPG would be back to normal. After hearing all the problems others have had with that crap, why run it in my car? It costs the same, and I know regular gas works real well and has forever, why not use that? Its like throwing snake oil in your car when everything is fine to begin with, why?

Its like, I could run Zmax in my oil every oil change, why would I do that? My motor oil ain't good enough? My oil pressure is good, motor runs good, what am I accomplishing?

Straight Super Unleaded has worked great for years, i'll stick with something that works...

    It's not 10% of E85. It's 10% ethanol which is known as E10. E85 is 85% ethanol.

It throws your trims positive too as well as taking 3-4 off my highway MPGs. I hate E10. My next car will never see E10 if I can help it.
