Okay so about a month ago I did the FWI and about a week ago had the resonator cut off. Someone told me I should undo the battery and let it set to kinda let the PCM re-learn its self. Since I am getting WAY more air flow. Its not a big deal and I did it...I dont understand what it did or if anything. So question is does doing that really re-learn your PCM? And should you do that with new small mods you put on ur car?

I just install the parts with the battery unplugged. Then go drive it around so it learns it. Just wondering why you took out the resonator Jess? Hello drone and rasp...

I never un-pluged my battery when modding...The only time I un-plugged the battery was when i removed it from the car to do my top-swap, cuz it was in the way.

I have the magnaflow exhaust system and it sounded good but i wanted a deeper sound and so they cut it and it sounds VERY good. Its not raspy or anything its a low tone sound I LOVE it!

They are referring to a fuel trim reset in the pcm. After you do mods that affect fuel/air delivery, you want to reset the trims and let it relearn itself. It will take anywhere from 20-40 min. of driving through different throttle positions to relearn. Its not really needed, but it doesn't hurt anything either, most people only do it when tuning but its easier then because you just click a button to do a reset.

Any 3800 car without a resonator sounds bad IMO...but again...it's just a opinion...I say have someone rev it and you stand behind it...you'll know what I am talking about rasp wise.

IMO.......any removal of either the mufflers, resonator or both makes the gp's sound like $hI+ and exactly like what we are trying to avoid.....rice. Just my .02

Guess it all depends on the car and set up! There is a 01ish GT that has flows and it sounds VERY raspy and just annoying. I have had SO many people ask me if I had a V8 in it cause its such a low tone just very mellow. Its far from raspy and its not very loud. I live upstairs and park my car right below my front door if I start my car I can hear it just a low tone a roar almost. But I have heard ALOT of people say that exhaust on the gps just suck! I feel sorry for all the guys who had bad luck but I guess im lucky I picked the right setup and everything for my car! Just like I told the guy putting it on..."If it sounds like **** your re-doing it"! After having it for a year I wanted a more low tone. You can hear the stock cam SOO good with the exhaust system I have so I figure why not let it breath some more and make it a lil louder and so thats why I had him remove it. Im VERY happy with the sound! I had some guy in a Cobra ask me what kind of cam I had and I told him its stock! He didn't believe me! He also said there is no way a 3.8 sounds that good! But again just my opinion!!!

EDIT: I have the boobies so there for my opinion matters more (LMAO)

youre wrong jess, just accept it. best get around to putting another resonator or a glasspack in place of the old one or youll hate it eventually.

and just for the record...you said

...what? the stock cam doesnt make ANY lope whatsoever..
