    hey guys

i recently installed a 3.4 pulley on my car. the list of mods for my car include. cold air intake, colder plugs, msd igniton, 180 degree thermostat. pacesetter headers wiht full three inch exhaust. i put the pulley on and was scanning for Kr and saw that i have one to two degrees of timing that it is retarding the timing but this is only around 80mph at full boost is this ok. i undersrtand the 0 is perfect but i was wondering if that much kr is alright. also what can i do to get rid of the Kr and still keep the 3.4 pulley

    thanks for the help

    dan

Get it tuned. You got headers and a 3.4"...you don't need meth or an IC to kill that...

Tune would be first on my list - and then a FWI. 1 - 2* of knock can be tuned out fairly easily - considering your list of mods. The FWI will help as well.

If you had more KR than you're seeing - then I'd say an alky kit or IC might be in order, but I think a few tweaks to your fuel tables will take care of you.

agreed...with those mods I think maybe even a dhp would take care of that...plus a tune will really wake a STOCK gtp up...imagine what it will do for you

A tune will take care of that much KR and 1-2 degrees may not seem bad but it can lead to bad things eventually. Always go for 0*. Anything else and you are asking for issues eventually.

Reason being is they aren't tuned for headers IIRC...just get a custom tune or hop on a PA. GP forum and I am sure there is SOMEONE near you that knows how to tune these cars...
