so out of listed cams or just better than stock, which ones would you use with a 3.4, eventually a 3.25 pulley, i/c setup, and *maybe* 1.9 rockers...i guess stocks are good if i use a better cam...lesser of two evils, stock cam with rockers, or better cam with stock rockers...so..here is the optionals: (im partial to split pattern with bigger exhaust, this bad for forced induction?)

    GPS L67 Cam 1: 200/212 .315/.325 115

    ZZP HL/GPS L67 Cam 2: 206/218 .320/.330 115

    INTENSE Stage 1X Blower: 210/221 .321/.329 115

if you guys have any other reccomendations, please post...and why would you run smaller exhaust side than intake? i thought these motors had bad exhaust flow already...lol

Comp Cams XP Hot Cam. ZZP Sells it. Got a Facebook? I'll show you the difference from a bolt-ons GTP and a bolt-ons GTP with a XP

INTENSE-Racing.com - G8, Grand Prix, Bonneville, Regal, L67 3800 Supercharged Performance Products. sells the S1X cam and it is a great cam too. Not sure if you know this or not but you can't run anything higher than 1.7:1 Roller Rockers with a cam. You gotta either go...Cam, Cam & IC, IC, or Rockers & IC...and headers with all of those setup options

ok, the stage 1 is a little smaller than the xp cam...and 325 bucks...about the same price as the xp cam. so, i think i would go with the comp xp...its freakin sweet. how much power would you think the 3.25" and this thing make with an i/c? around 280whp? with stock rokers and of course tuned and headers...with u bend delete...

so i have been looking...the cam i want, the zzp xp, is right in the middle almost of the s1x and the s2x...and both sound pretty good...i think i will go with comp..i like their products, never did me wrong..so would 90# springs be ok with this, or pay for the 105#? i dont wnat to flatten the lobes with too strong of springs, nor do i want them to float because too weak...

another thing to think about with cams also is where it will put your powerband.

IMO you won't flatten the lobes...they are roller cams...when I dropped my valve and lifter my cam was scraped up but that was it...and it was a BAD boom too...the spark plug melted in the head it was so nice And yes, 90# LS6 springs work great...I have been using them for almost 2 years and haven't had one issue. AND...some Comp Retainers...not really needed but nice to have as you can go to a dealership and get some stock LS6 Retainers too...

Trust me go get your heads flown before you do anything, the shop can tell you what cam is best if you aren't doing anyhead work.

Cams can be argued forever but you want to get a cam that will work best with your stock heads, best option if you have money get them flown and then get a cam ground out to the shope specs. I am doing a BIG cam build, I have been saoking up the info.

and it looks like the xp will be around 1200-6300...not my first rodeo to cams, but first rodeo to cams with forced induction...

good deal...that guy selling the springs is liek 40 minutes from where i grew up. ok, so stock rockers (for now anyways...) ls6 springs, maybe new retainers and locks, the xp cam...and the top swap from mini...this thing will be a beast! plus i will need headers...dang!

Definitely new retainers. If you switch to LSx style springs, you need LSx style retainers. Running stock retainers on LS6 springs would give you a max lift of .500", which is nowhere near enough for the XP, plus the pressures would be so high you'd destroy the stock timing chain/dampener in short order. Stock locks should be fine, though.

not quite the powerband of the xp. its gonna be more up top like 4-6.5k while the s1x is gonna kick in a little lower but die off a little lower. the trannie has around a 3k stall so even if it was a beast at 2k you would never know.

in other words, the s1x will probably make more torque but the xp will come around it in the long run. the s1x has ran faster times also.

i would agree here with the s1x. if you dont want a big cam at least go with either an XP or S1x. if you want a stupid cam that you can run on stock heads look into a NIC or LL from PRJ.

yeah i have seen those. me and my buddy were stuck on duty last night and were browsing videos with sound on one of the sites. i think it was the stage 2, 3 and 4 cams...talk about stupid! the stage 3 sounds like a decent cam spec you would put in a decently built v8. it sounded good in teh 3800 too...then there was the stage 4...that thing was having troubles running...too much overlap and lift, but sounded awesome...not for me, dont want to idle it at 1200 rpm just to keep engine going..lol!!

Stage 4 is for turbo cars or crazy M90 setups IMO.
