just got the e-cut-out installed and did the wiringa couple hours ago. man it sounds nasty. its a dmh performance 2.5" e-cutout. i had it welded by the pipe behind the passenger rear tire which seems the best spot and space. those with e-cutouts, when do you open them and if opening them when the car's moving if it causes premature damage to the motor?

i'll try to get some pics and a vid of the sound of it at idle. i wish i can take some from a roll or when the car's moving but i dont have anyone who would do it and/or the correct camera to record with. i'll try to get pics and a vid this weekend and have it posted by sun or mon of next week.

I wouldn't worry about the motor failing. It's only working for a short time while opening and closing.

I take my ECO off for the winter to keep the cold and snow away from it. Other wise I open it up when I pretty much want it open. I never drive with it fully open, it's just too damn loud. I do sometimes drive with it jst a crack open, just enough to sound really good at idle and cruising.

I have my ECO in the same place as you. I installed it more for sound then performance.
