Not too bad for $50 shipped. My home made one took a crap this past week. The biggest surprise was getting today, since I ordered it Friday!

    Big, eh?

Yeah, I ended up being too lazy to go for the mechanical....

Works out to 13GPM, but restricted about 8-10gpm.

Not right away, I just want to get it in before my current one is completely gone.

I probably won't test it until the new motor goes in.

Will that be able to stand up the the heat, especially on a daily driver? Or is this not a daily driver?

Yeah, they don't get that hot. It's rated to 190F, but it's in the fender and before the IC. In the heat of summer it will probably never see above 140F water temps. I had a whimpier plastic pump mounted under my hood after the IC and it held up fine. This thing is beefy, and completely sealed.

The only part of these things you need to worry about getting hot is the motor, this has a low amp draw, and the motor is magnetically coupled with the pump. Pump will probably never get warmer than ambient.

Good find. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up.

I have an L36 block, and as of now it's dissassembled. The piston skirts are getting coated, polishing the tops. I have already modified the rear channel plate for better oiling. Removed the balance shaft, trying to find a better way for oil drainback. Windage screen/crank scraper, making the pan a deep sump with traps. Porting the heads, decking the heads/block; squaring the block. Cleaning up and shot peening the rods, balancing the assembly either 52-53%. Porting the oil passages/pump, dry film lubricating the oil pump gears.

I want to take a stab at the overall stock cam record. Compression will be around 10:1 with E85. Shooting for 11.40's.

Sounds like you have some work ahead of you. Ill be interested to see how all the upgrades do. Any idea when it will be in the car and ready to go?

I'm hoping it's all done by April.

I got my old failing pump out tonight. Good thing I've been taking it easy on the car. The pump completely disintegrated! Not an ounce of coolant in the system...

New pump went in easy, quiet, no drama.
