HELP!!
I took my 98 GTP into a shop a on friday to change my fuel filter, my upper radiator hose and my coolant. When I went to pick it up the head Tech told me I that I was in dire need on spark plugs, so I went out that night, bought 6 double platinum plugs and installed them.
The Problem.
For quite some time now something has not been quite right with the car. It has stalled out on me twice after firing it up initially and anytime I come off the throttle completley and allow the revs to sink, it drops down to about 800rpm and then, once I get back on the throttle it seems to bog down and nearly cut out then gets going in a hurry.
The idiot.
I have put around 10k on it since october and I live in Montana so it's always dusty here so I figured, maybe the fuel filter is clogged? Went down to napa, bought a new filter, had it installed on friday. This, it seems, was a mistake. It did not cure the bogging and also created a new problem.
The new problem
The car was fine for all of about 2 minutes, I could tell instantly that the bogging was still present but then the vibrating began. The car is fine out of boost but as soon as I try to get on it at all, an imense vibration occurs. It sounds like a misfire, and may well be, but the wires were new and the plugs were all new yesterday. What else could it be? I am reluctant to drive it right now and I do need it for work. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
