If you don't have emmissions then loose the cat. If your going with headers then you won't have to worry about a down pipe more than likley.
I live in CT have Inspection Do I need to have the Cat Welded in
Damn skippy mafacker!! :th_laugh-lol2: Sure don't leak that is for sure and once you get the front header off, ratchet the motor forward, unplug the o2...unbolt it from the catback...unbolt it from the head and it all comes out on one piece, crossover, collector, rear header, downpipe...yup...AWESOME:th_biggrin2:
Like-a ass-a:th_nanana:
OKay i have a question... Yes i heard that the GXP came from slp with a 3.5 pulley .. Did they have cowl hood to or something.. I seen a few that had them i didnt no if you could buy it like that..
My question when they put the 3.5 pulley on the car. did they change the plugs. I read they put a 180 tst
correction, it was a GTX.
it was an optional performance package that came with an intake, higher ratio rockers, and a 3.5 pulley.
GTX packages are originally just appearance packages. the GTX hood is probably one of my favorite hoods ever made. it is hard to find nowadays. most GTX are just a GT/GTP with some body parts.
So the GTX came with diffrent rockers. wow i didnt no that.. Did they come with the ubend and the 180 tst to?
What rocker set did they run can you buy it from SLP? DO you no what plugs they run.. Did they run colder or stock.. Just wondering.
steve
i bet they ran stock plugs and thermostat, but the rockers were the SLP 1.8 RRs.
well no it doesn't sound like *&*^, i do still have stock muffs. i do think it would def. be louder or crappier w/headers. but since i'm:th_shakinghead1: freakin stuck with a plog and p.rear, i don't have too worry about sounding bad, just being slow.
you have a plog and ported rear, but no downpipe? that is where youre hurting.
i'm back, yes i got a 3" dp and i welded in a 2.5" section from the dp to the y in the back of exhaust.....still i wish i'd got headers....within the end of this year i will.
180* T-Stat... its a $9 mod you can pick up at Autozone.
$9 for a thermostat? i thought they were in the area of $5?
Probably with the new O-Ring it was $9
