top swap- the action of removing your whole top end of a N.A 3.8 and swapping that top end from a supercharged 3.8.

if your n.a, i say 2.5" with 2.5" dp, if your s.c'd I would get a 3" dp if you do 3" exhaust. There won't be any performance gains from the catback. You will get some from the u-bend delete in the aftermarket dp's.

Yea the stock cat-back is fine...you don't need to replace it unless you like the crappy sound of a 3800...just get a 2.5" Downpipe with the U-Bend delete...cat or no cat is up to you.

dont run a 3" exhaust, youll be wasting money. anything past the cat should be 2.5" at most.

What do you plan on doing with your car? A lot of stuff? Just looking for sound?

Let us know that way we can help you a little more. If headers would be in your price range and you are thinking of a top swap or even if your not. That may be the thing to get.

then the cat-back wont help you much. headers will. cat-back only changes sound and you could do that alot cheaper with some mufflers.

Honestly I think headers on a bone stock N/A wouldn't be the best idea now...maybe just a PLOG or Downpipe as headers would be overkill IMO...

dont buy an engine from ZZP. a used engine is just as good. the stock bottom end has been proven to like 600+ whp already. like i said, how much money are you willing to spend? 10k? that will net you a retarded fast grand prix, but is it the best use of your money? probably not.

A ZZP engine? Now i've heard everything. Check out Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts They have everything that you need as far as replacement engines and transmissions go.

I deal with Eric and Bill up there on almost a daily basis and they are awesome people to work with.

Then get a set of diamond pistons, Intense Stage 4 heads and Stage 4 Cam, L32 rods, Whipple W140AX & 3.5" pulley, Stage 3 Intercooler, 60# Injectors, ZZP Headers, HP Tuners, ZZP Billet Throttle Body, and a Triple Edge Performance Transmission with whatever gears you want, Bulletproof Input Shafts and everything else Dave offers that is top notch. With all those mods and slicks I would not be surprised if you hit low 11's or high 10's.

    are you serious?

...do not even think you can put a whipple on this car and make it run well and last for more than a few thousand miles without breaking something.

again...how much money do you want to spend? how fast do you want to go? tell us this and we can give you a realistic setup for you to run.
