the z7 kit is a really good kit. They just came out with the z3. The cartuning turbo kit is not as good, the piping sucks. You might at well get the z7 kit for the little extra cost, with air2air i/c. Oh and be prepared to get a new tranny, fairly soon.

Might as well GET the transmission when you get the turbo kit and do it all at once. That way you won't be complaining when you pull the turbo kit apart to remove the motor and transmission

I'd go with the Z3. They have made some pretty good hp numbers with the kit so far, over 400whp with a cam/ic. The lower cost is due to less labor involved making the kit so don't feel like it is the "smaller" kit. The only problem you may have with this kit is the open dump wastegate, which means as soon as you hit your desired boost, the wastegate opens and relieves exhuast pressure through the atmosphere. In other words, it gets louder. The benefits of having an open dump are that it helps by not having that extra exhaust backpressure in the turbo downpipe, therefore making the downpipe function like a 3" downpipe. This also helps with boost creep and wastegate creep as there is hardly any backpressure on the wastegate.

The ct kit would be a good kit too, but i wouldn't buy it new, the z7 kit is also a proven kit too. The stattama kit is more for 500whp+

X2, are transmissions are for the most part fine with a few bolts ons but any serious power will kill the transmission with use. Sure driving daily and driving nice it would be fine but you didn't get a turbo on it to drive nice.....

Stronger input shaft, stronger chains, and a shift kit as a bare minimum. Getting a completely built transmission is the best way.
