Ok, Guys I have had my GTP for about two weeks now and its a great DD but I must say I need more power!!! I don't want to go ape with this car but like all my other boosted cars I know air in is the first step. I have looked around and see that everyone has an idea of good and bad things to say about all the types of intakes on the market. All I want is something that is going to wake this car up but keep my MPG's and the computer safe. What kit would do all of that for me and be the best price? TIA Adam

make an intake out of some PVC with a nice big cone filter. bring is as close to the hold in the fender as you can. make sure you use 4" tubing. these cars like the biggest intake you can throw at it.

that is about the best intake you can have until you get pretty far into modding in which then the best is just to shove the cone on the throttle body and be done with it.

What about these heat issues I keep reading about? The most important thing is for me to keep or improve the MPG's

make your own... that is the best option, cheapest too. paint it, will look nice. If you dont know how there is a writeup on here about it in the how to section, or if you dont have the time or skill im sure there is someone on here who would sell you one they made.

Cheapest yet most effective design on the market. Why pay more for the same thing?

    Let me know.

what heat issues? the more hot air the intake flows the better your mileage will be just for pure fact that it will run less fuel.

    More timing means more MPG's

i added a lot of timing in my cruise area and my car feels way better than it did before. timing makes power and MPG.
