Ok my needle on the speedometer goes crazy sometimes. Last weekend I punched it and my car didnt shift and after I let off the gas my needle was still going up. Could that be the speed sensor or would it be something else? Also when im driving on cruise and I hit a bump sometimes my cruise shuts off so I dont really use cruise anymore. Would that be the samething or somethign else?

The bump thing sound like a brake pedal problem. I have that same issue and it is associated with the pedal. I'm not sure if a spring is worn out or what. And yes that does sound like a vehicle speed sensor.

Where is the speed sensor and would it be a bad connection being it doesnt do it all the time?

There are two. One goes in by the reluctor wheel inside the transmission (i think) and the other is on the differential housing of the transmission(by where the axle comes out of the trans and connects to the wheel).

And yes a bad connection will cause this.
