You have to remove the fuel rails, supercharger/tb, lower intake manifold and the valve guides.

It could be a bad lifter if it is change it ASAP. Don't beat on the car or anything either...probably not good for it if you did. It could also be a loose rocker bolt. Check those too...pull off the valve covers and see...if you can move the rocker with your fingers than you need to get a new TTY (Torque To Yield) Bolt from a dealer...

well my problem is in the bottom end .... FML just spent 4000 on this motor and its bad and i have to pay out of pocket to get the cam taken out and put in to the next motor but lifters arent bad just gotta get to the LIM which would be the hardest part, from that point take out the rods and just pull it out

Yeah...sorry to be up front about it but if you got a cam you HAVE TO TUNE. Nothing around that. Which is the reason you have to buy another motor...sucks for sure man, but something good will come out of it

dont pay someone to install a motor for you. take the time to do it on your own. youll learn a lot and youll then be able to fix everything on your car confidently.

catbacks do nothing for performance only sound. so yes, if youre looking for a good exhaust note borla is where it is at.

you cannot go smaller with your supercharger pulley without a bunch of other flow mods to compensate. the key to making power with these cars is to not make more boost, but to stay at the same level. therefore, when you add flow mods you lose boost, so you put on a smaller pulley so you can get back to where you were before.

so i am going to have to go with headers? will i be able to go with true dual or have to go with the single like it is? i really want to learn what i can do to my car so i dont just put some stuff on and hope it works.

no one has done a true dual exhaust, but i dont think there is a whole lot of reasons to since it probably wont make any more power from it, it would be hard to run two sets of piping all the way back, and it would probably still sound like crap.

with the headers that are on the market, i dont think anyone has ever made enough power to actually say the headers are what were holding them up.

    May not be a lifter....
    Check your valve springs now!!!!!
Just did a friends stock 3.8 that was running very rough, shaking hard at idle and smoothed out as RPM increased under load (driving).

    Plugs, wires, timing....all good
Compression good, all 6 within 8lbs.

Troubleshooting found a broken spring on the #5 cyl. The spring was broken put the keepers stayed in place.
The valve did not drop into the cylinder......saved the piston from being demoed.
    Very lucky....

Pain in the ass to pull the valve covers, but the compresson check did not show the broken spring because the rising piston shut the valve....

Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.
