Wondering how important the EVAP is? Can it be disconnected without any problems? If you can disconnect it, can you just plug the gas line?

I would like to get rid of it. I want to disconnect it but need to know if it will hurt the motor.

There's not many write-ups on this.

    Thanks

    Yup you will be fine!

I just cut it and capped it. Been fine and have had 0 issues. I think I cut and capped it where it turns from plastic line to metal line.

Yep, no problem at all, mine is completely gone. You'll need to turn the codes off in the computer, otherwise just cap the lines and call it good.

There is a line that runs from the tank (right by the Return and fed lines) underneath the car and to the evap silinoid. Then from there it ties into the vacume lines.

Where the lines connect to the Evap silinoid is an aesome place for vacume leaks. The clips get broken and don't hold on the hose very well.

That was my first vacume leak ever.

The entire EVAP system consists of the purge solenoid, which is on the back of the blower by the MAP sensor, the charcoal canister on top of the tank, and the vent valve up by the fuel filler neck, plus lines for all of it.

Wait, you're top swapped (duh, wasn't thinking), the L36 purge solenoid is on the front of the engine by the FPR.
